Vitiligo Skin Disease
Vitiligo is a medical term use for skin problem in which depigmentation in skin developed, also known as the leucoderma. Segmental vitiligo is most common type of vitiligo in which patches of depigmentation exist on one or two parts of the skin. Vitiligo is categorized with respect to the size and shape of the spots and intensity of the condition in that patches. In minor cases, a small spot appears at only a few parts of the skin and in severe cases a large area of the skin is affected by the depigmentation marks.
People from any age may be the victim of vitiligo but it most likely affects persons below the age of forty. It would be exaggeration, if I say that it is completely genetic disorder. The condition run in families however the affected person which have family back ground with it, are not more than the 20% of all the patients.
Most of the patients have been seen with vitiligo throughout their life. Vitiligo spread equally across the glob and patients with white spots are found in any society.
For Vitiligo there is no cure has been yet discovered. It is due to the lack of information about its root causes.
